The Spa at Arizona Biltmore

Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa - Luxury Resort Accommodations, Spa Resort, Reds Restaurant in Sedona Rouge

Many resorts promise a "getting away from it all" experience.  The Biltmore spa is no exception.  In keeping with the resort's luxurious yet cozy atmosphere, the spa lounge resembles the living room of a lovely estate. There is soothing music, comfortable chairs, couches and ottomans, and an array of water, teas and fruit.

We were signed up for a couples massage.  After we changed into a thick, cozy robe and slippers provided by the Biltmore our therapists ushered us outside to a lovely cabana built for two.  There was an outdoor courtyard complete with a Jacuzzi with two bubbling fountains next to our cabana.  We were told we could use the Jacuzzi after our massage if we chose.  The water was a nice touch as it provided a soothing sound of running water throughout the treatment.

Our therapists began our time having us smell three different bottles of lovely aromatherapy oils.  We were asked to choose the one we liked best.  Each bottle represented a different mood.   After choosing the oil we most enjoyed, we were left alone to disrobe and prepare for our massage.

It is a sensual experience to just be with the one you love and enjoy the Arizona spring air.  This is our first massage outdoors and the smells, sounds and warm breezes certainly added to our experience.  It was a very tranquil experience.

Our therapists were well trained and we both experienced a deep and thorough massage.  She started by massaging our back, moved to the limbs and then turned us over and applied the oils we had selected.  We enjoyed the attention that was paid to the neck area and felt we got a deeper than usual treatment.  The loosening of muscles along with stretching seemed to make all the stresses of life disappear.

All renewed and invigorated by now, from head to toe, we wandered over to the pool area. I must say that it was quite a view. There is a large outdoor pool with a water slide and waterfall.  The pool has a swim up restaurant bar. It really is difficult to tear yourself away from this relaxed, nourishing environment.

The Biltmore Spa offers a complete menu of traditional services with customized enhancements, so guests can truly enjoy their journey.

Now, reluctantly, back to the real world!
