Using a minimal array of natural and hi-tech materials, the 269 Art+Tech guest rooms and 25 suites within Vienna’s Le Meridien hotel set the pace for contemporary style and sophistication.  Together, they combine the latest in technology with the most innovative trends in interior design.  Each guest room is equipped with free, high speed internet access, 107 cm flat screen entertainment center, individual air conditioning, three telephones, and all the other conveniences you’d expect from the ultimate in modern luxury and service.  Specially designed beds from Ligne Roset and pillow-top mattresses from Sealy are crowned with large, fluffy pillows (your choice of down or anti-allergic) and crisp white cotton duvets inviting your body to melt into what feels like heaven at the end of the day.  The free-standing “power shower” incorporates two delightful frontal shower heads in addition to the normal, elevated shower head, giving your body a soothing shower massage day or night.  Using a neutral backdrop, one of three color accents (pink, olive or Georgian blue) may be found on wall panels to give added depth and interest to each room.  Clear, frosted and etched glass are used extensively in closet, wardrobe, and bathroom areas, complemented by satin stainless steel fixtures and pale maple furnishings.  A combination of halogen and traditional lighting fixtures are mounted, suspended or offset in creative touches throughout the rooms.  In the bathroom, an etched-glass washbasin sits atop a limestone table, matching the finish of the limestone flooring. 

Le Meridien Vienna, in the heart of the city’s historical, shopping and cultural attractions, adds life and emotion to your business or holiday experience.  Located on the famous Ringstrasse, the hotel is just a short stroll away from famous landmarks such as the Vienna State Opera, the Imperial Hofburg Palace, Albertina, Secession, and Museumsquartier.  The €110 million renovation program converted a turn-of-the-century Imperial Viennese apartment with a gorgeous, historical façade, into a new generation hotel that is destined to serve as a role model for other designer hotels.  Chrome, glass and maple wood have been tastefully utilized, along with special illumination and creative light effects, to create an ambience of understated elegance in every room and throughout the public areas of the hotel.

Each morning hotel guests are treated to a sumptuous buffet in the 128-seat Bar & Restaurant “Shambala.”  In the afternoon and evening, the Shambala restaurant serves gourmet fare in a relaxed, yet stylish atmosphere.  Combining striking architecture with innovative interior design, the restaurant offers fresh, exotic food in a vibrant environment of reds, pinks and purple with changing light effects.  Here, Michel Rostang’s concept of “Cuisine Mondiale” melds French passion with Asian flavors.  The lounge bar serves up innovative drinks and up-beat music in a dynamic enclave suitable for conversation and people-watching.  Offering the best of French, Viennese and Italian coffee culture, the Meridien’s “Café Boulevard” combines the best of both traditional coffee house and modern coffee bar—indeed, it served as the stage for a Jean Cocteau play depicting denizens of Vienna’s in-crowd.  

Eight conference rooms offering natural daylight and views to the park are available for meetings and receptions of all kinds.  The conference area totals 1,100 square meters and has the capacity to host from 12 to 300 guests.    A 420-square meter hotel wellness area features a pool, sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi and fitness area where guests may unwind at the end of the day.
